三宅 ⼀⽣

He studies design at the Tama Art University in Tokyo and moves to Paris in 1964.
He works for fashion houses like Givenchy, then finally returns to Japan to establish his own fashion house.
He is one of the first Japanese designers to parade in Europe in 1973.
The imprint of his clothes is noted for their designs between minimalism, timelessness, and sometimes bordering on science fiction.
His « plissé » collections reveal his ability to work with any base material.
He advocates fashion that "takes to the streets" and expresses: "the power of design is to make products that will become anonymous. No drawing for four people at a dinner party. »
